The Messenger of Allāh (may the peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) was the most generous of all people, and he was at his most generous in Ramaḍān when Jibreel would meet him. He would meet him every night of Ramaḍān to go over the Qur'an with him. And so the Messenger of Allāh (may the peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) was more generous with goodness than a strong wind.

'Abdān narrated to us, saying: 'Abdullāh informed us, saying: Yūnus informed us, from az-Zuhrī. Another chain: Bishr ibn Muḥammad narrated to us, saying: 'Abdullāh informed us, saying: Yūnus and Ma'mar informed us, from az-Zuhrī something similar to it. [az-Zuhrī said: 'Ubaydullāh ibn 'Abdullāh informed me, from Ibn 'Abbās that he said:
